The Breakers Palm Beach
A Luxury Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida
This Post is in Partnership with The Breakers
My husband and I enjoyed an incredible and memorable trip to The Breakers a few years ago, and I’ve been longing to return and document this luxury hotel for you. The driveway leading up to the stately hotel is perfectly lined with massive palm trees, which immediately puts you at ease in the midst of this tropical scenery. Upon arrival, my friend and I were graciously welcomed by Omar, the gentleman at valet. The guest rooms are so impressively appointed that I think I’m going to design my master bedroom based on the ‘blue’ room that we stayed in. I’ve never seen so many beautiful shades of blues as I did when I was walking around the pools. The crystal clear ocean views provide the perfect backdrop for this 1926 hotel that boasts 9 restaurants, a newly renovated spa and an incredible gym–Ocean Fitness.
You can’t go wrong with any of the restaurants the Breakers has to offer. If you get the chance to eat lunch at the Beach Club restaurant, I’d highly recommend their lobster roll–I’ve been craving it ever since! We got to enjoy dinner at the Flagler Steakhouse, where all of their steaks are perfectly cooked according to your preference. The views from this restaurant are simply stunning. If you plan on dining at the steakhouse, make sure to make a reservation for an outdoor table around the time of sunset. Trust me, the views of the golf course during the golden hour are breathtaking. As a huge fan of Asian food, we had to dine at Echo, their Asian restaurant that is actually off property. They have a large and diverse menu, as their cuisine is a blend of Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese food. I recommend ordering the Szechuan beef, Wagyu flatiron steak, and of course their Echo souffle, which is larger than life. You truly have to order their souffle and see for yourself how impressive this dish is when they bring it to your table.
The HMF lounge is the perfect place to sip on a cocktail. The lounge is named after The Breaker’s founding father, Henry Morrison Flagler, and is an ode to Palm Beach’s glamorous era. The Frescavescent cocktail, which is the perfect blend of Vodka, citrus and grapefruit juice, was so refreshing and delicious that I ordered it two nights in a row. This lounge is a great spot to grab a cocktail before dinner, or even as a night cap. If you’re in the mood for some light bites, they also have a fabulous tapas menu.
Their staff is hospitable in every possible way and made sure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. I have to say, The Breakers is one of my top three favorite resorts in the US. The true beauty of this resort is definitely in the details, from the organic herb and vegetable garden, to their Seafood bar, which actually has an aquarium that functions as the bar top. On top of all of this, we were fortunate to enjoy perfect weather during our trip!
Since this slice of paradise is only a 5.5 hour drive away from where I live, I know I will be returning for another rejuvenating vacation. The Breakers truly has a fabulous location, since Palm Beach boasts warm weather and bright sunshiny days year round. The hotel is a short five minute drive to downtown Palm Beach, where you can walk around and enjoy luxury shopping and even take a stroll on the iconic Worth Avenue. If you’re looking for a family friendly resort, or even a romantic weekend getaway, you have to plan a trip to The Breakers!!
