You know that favorite dress in your closet that you always gravitate towards? Well this black and white stripe dress is mine! While I always love stripes, this dress is even more flattering than most! The fit and flare cut of the dress makes it so comfortable, thus it was the perfect look to wear around our resort in Turks and Caicos. I paired it with my black canvas espadrille wedges — which I’ve worn so many times since then, including to my birthday party last week! I completed the look with J.Crew Factory’s leather bucket bag, which provided just the right contrast of color.

During our stay at Seven Stars, Kelli and I grabbed breakfast at their incredible restaurant, Seven, every morning, where we yearned for their scrambled eggs with cheese, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. I’m typically not that much of a morning person but this buffet was just what we needed to start our day by the pool. Tough life, huh?

Right above the restaurant is a beautiful spiral powder blue staircase. The top of the staircase gives way to breathtaking views of the entire resort and crystal clear blue waters. When I stumbled upon this spot one morning after breakfast, I knew it was the perfect location to shoot this black and white striped dress. That morning was beautiful with just the right amount of wind. I remember taking everything in as we were shooting, and writing this post makes me long to return. My husband has never been to the Turks and Caicos, so I think I’ll have to fix that!
