If you’ve been following Lavin Label over the past few weeks then you already know about Sea Island’s Southern Grown festival, which will be here in less than two weeks! It’s a festival in the Golden Isles that celebrates Southern food, drink and music. I’ll be spending my four-day weekend partying with Garden & Gun, eating delicious food by award-winning chefs and listening to Grammy-award winning artists. So I definitely need to plan out what I’m going to wear to these fabulous events! For those of you attending Southern Grown, or any festival this summer, head over to the Cloister Collection (online + in stores) to find the perfect summertime outfit.

One of the events that I’m really looking forward to is the Marketplace at Rainbow Island. The team at Sea Island will be transforming the casual, waterfront property into a New Orleans style French Market where you’ll find many different artisanal vendors and their unique, handcrafted products. Since most of the Southern Grown activities, like the Marketplace, are on the water, you can expect breezy + warm weather. I partnered with the Cloister Collection to present you with an outfit that is sure to get you compliments all weekend long.

For daytime events, think casual. I love the look of classic white jeans, like these skinny AG crop jeans from the Cloister Collection. The sunglasses are by Crap Eyewear, an up and coming brand that is taking a stand on the insanely expensive price tags of designer sunglasses. I wear these sunglasses all of the time! Lastly, this black and white Sloane clutch is the perfect finishing touch! 

If you’re someone that prefers to shop in-person, then you can’t miss the Hermosa Jewelry and & ZAGS sun wraps trunk show at the Cloister Collection on June 10th. This sip and shop event will run from 4 to 6 pm. Hermosa Jewelry is a fabulous line of timeless southern statement pieces, founded by Haley Keisler who I was fortunate enough to meet at the Southern C Summit. She was inspired by the vintage jewelry she inherited as a young girl and began designing her own jewelry at the age of 12. As a native resident of Charleston, her Southern lifestyle and time spent in the lowcountry largely shapes her designs and styles. While you can view her fabulous collections online, this is a wonderful opportunity to see them in person and even try on some of her statement pieces.

ZAGS creates beautiful sun wraps that are made for going from the beach to a party, or from the dock to dinner. The brand was founded on the belief that you should spend as much time outside as possible. Thus, they use fabrics that are light and breezy, provide UV protection, and are stain, odor and microbial resistant. Cover ups don’t get much better than that! All of their wraps are handmade in Charleston, South Carolina.
