Last spring my husband, Casey, and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, which is a short road trip from the Golden Isles. It was the perfect setting to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary with peaceful lake views, homemade s’mores and spa services. We had such a memorable experience that the Ritz-Carlton at Lake Oconee has become a very special place for us. We’re always looking for an excuse to enjoy the #lakelife!

Since the first official day of Fall is September 22nd (who’s keeping track?!) it’s the perfect reason to head to North Georgia for a three day lake escape. The weekend kicks off with an exclusive G&G pass holders Bluegrass BBQ dinner featuring John Lewis from Charleston, SC and local beer from Oconee Brewing Co. On Saturday morning, you’ll enjoy breakfast at Georgia’s Bistro and can relax and recharge by the infinity pool that overlooks Lake Oconee. I must say, I’m most excited about Saturday afternoon’s lineup! As a G&G pass holder, you’ll start the afternoon with a boat cruise to Sandy Creek Barn, followed by a culinary demonstration inspired by G&G’s latest cookbook, The Southerner’s Cookbook. Then you’ll eat lunch by the water and attend a Master Bourbon Class with Seth and Justin Thompson from The Bourbon Review. Later that evening, you’ll sip on cocktails while listening to live music. You’ll end this incredible day with a seated dinner followed by s’mores for dessert and a fireworks show. On Sunday morning, they’re sending everyone off with a delicious southern brunch to finish off the weekend.
