Three Ways to Style a Silk Scarf
How To Style Your Gunners Daughter Scarf For The Spring
I usually opt for classic clothes in my wardrobe and I especially love to wear solids (varying shades of blue and white are my go-to colors). I’ve been relying on statement jewelry in the past to add a detailed touch to my outfits but recently I’ve been opting to wear a scarf instead to give it that polished look! I love the look of a classic silk scarf and they are great to wear this time of year because with our chilly temperatures they provide an added layer. I also like how scarves give outfits a pop of color during spring.
One of favorites scarves is Gunner’s Daughter and you may have heard of this Brooklyn-based company because I have featured their luxury bags on Lavin Label. Owner and designer Erin Goodman has taken the signature lining maps from her bags and created luxurious and wearable statement art pieces. She has designed a Golden Isles Silk Twill Scarf that has a maritime map of the Golden Isles on it. It’s the perfect piece to accessorize your look or a fantastic gift for someone who loves this area as much as we do. They also have Brooklyn and Savannah silk scarves available (and a Charleston one is coming soon!). All of their products are sourced, designed and made in the USA. I thought it would be great to show you my favorite ways to style a scarf highlighting her beautiful scarves. They’re the perfect size (large square) to style in many different ways. I hope this list is helpful and if you have a favorite style, please share it with me in the comments.
French Double Knot.
- Fold the scarf in half like a triangle.
- With triangle in the front, wrap the ends around your neck and bring them back to tie in front.
- Double knot the ends over the scarf on the side.
Side Knot
- Fold the scarf in half to make a triangle.
- Tie a knot on the right side of the scarf.
- Wrap around your neck.
- Tie the ends in the back
The Bow
- Fold the scarf in half to make a triangle.
- Put the scarf around your neck with both ends in the front.
- Tie the ends into a simple bow.
- Twist to the side.
Hope these ideas will help you get the most out of your scarves and encourage you to use them to brighten up your wardrobe.
