Transition Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring
Spring Layering with Secret Silky
With our hectic schedules, it is sometimes difficult for Casey and I to really connect during the week. To avoid that from happening, we’ve been making date night a priority in the Lavin household. We try our best to schedule one night a week where we can go out, uninterrupted to focus on our relationship. This has definitely been a priority for the both of us since we have decided that 2017 is the year of finding the right work/life balance! Who’s with me?!
For our date nights, I like to put a little more effort into my look (A.K.A I leave the yoga pants at home) and dress up a bit. To handle the varying spring-time temps, I find the best approach for an evening out is layering my look. I tend to get spring fever in March which means that I’m ready to don my dresses even when the temperatures aren’t cooperating. Since it’s still a bit chilly at night I usually opt for nude or black sheers from Secret Silky. I love wearing their sheer pantyhose because they provide a light added layer to make wearing a dress easy. I also like how you can barely see them but they have just the right amount of color to give my legs a little love after the winter months.
I also recently packed their black tights with me on my recent trip to New York City. With temps in the low 40’s, I’d slip on a pair of tights with my dress for added warmth. I wasn’t about to walk down the street to a cocktail party with bare legs! (I’m clearly a southerner).
Secret Silky offers a variety of different sheer hose and tights that can add distinct layers to a variety of looks. Keeping a variety of them in your wardrobe is essential to being able to layer in a breeze.
