Bedding Basics
Essentials for Your Guest Bedroom
I have always preferred white bedding and love how it adds a luxurious feel to any bedroom. If you haven’t already invested in a good quality white duvet, I would encourage you to consider one next time you redo your room. As much as I love the brightness of a white duvet, one of my favorite aspects of using white as a base is that you can easily add color and texture without having to change all the bedding. It allows you to incorporate seasonal colors and styles without breaking the bank.
I recently wanted to bring one of our guest rooms to life by incorporating not only a little color, but also some pattern and texture. I turned to Garnett Hill, where I frequently find accessories and other items for our home. I love blue as an accent color and found the prettiest Blue Moon quilt that was just the shade of blue I was looking for. It has a circular and botanical inspired pattern that I felt gave a vintage, yet soothing, look to the room. The great thing about using a quilt is that it gives your guests an extra layer of comfort while adding an element of style. I used the two matching blue shams that compliment the quilt, and then added green decorative pillows as a finishing touch.
I am really happy with how it turned out and think my guests will also enjoy it. I hope this inspires you to brighten up your space with a little pop of color!

I’ve always been a black bedding type f girl, but with this whole minimalstic trend, I’ve been loving white bedding as well. I know for a fact though that I couldn’t keep it clean lol

I’m all about white bedding too, duvet, done!
That’s a fabulous idea! We have 2 guest rooms, one of which I found a gorgeous comforter at Anthropologie and was stumped for the other one. It will have two twin beds and I think that white duvets with added color will be perfect. Thanks for helping me out! We actually did our dining room very neutral so that I can add color with table linens.
