Summer Window Box Inspiration
A Light Purple and Pink Floral Color Palette
One of my favorite parts about my recent patio renovation might be my window boxes. I love to switch out the flowers each season to transform the space and I’m always surprised how flowers can truly impact my outdoor patio!
I typically like to plant a bunch of greenery with pops of white but this time I thought that I’d add color! I mean, why not? It IS summer! When I was walking around Ace Garden Center with my mom and my niece last week, I was drawn to the light purple and pink flowers which just so happened to compliment my recent floral-inspired tablescape with World Market.
My brother-in-law made these beautiful wooden planters for me last fall so it’s probably time for a little paint refresh. But after my recent trip to France, I realized that the imperfections make it perfect — rather than feed my need for everything to be polished, I think that I might let the color weather a bit and see what they look like! What do you think?
If you’re looking to recreate this flower combination, I listed out the types of flowers that I used below. Happy gardening!
- Butterfly Pink Pentas (tall upright pink flowers)
- Variegated Setcreasea (purple plants on the edges)
- Mezoo Trailing Red Dorotheansthus (variegated green and white)
- Scavealo (white flowers in the center)
