I already have a few Northern trips planned this fall to experience cooler temperatures and see fall foliage. Living in the South, late August to September can be a difficult time for fashion. It’s still 80 degrees or warmer in the South but as soon as you head up North for a weekend getaway the temperatures typically drop to the 60s or even lower! So this is the time when I start buying clothes wisely to help me with the transition.

As you can probably see from my Instagram feed, I prefer classic pieces that will remain relevant from year-to-year which is why I love J.McLaughlin. My most recent obsession has been this black sleeveless jumpsuit. The lightweight fabric makes it a great choice for the warm southern climate while the pants also make this a perfect outfit for cooler days.
