My Savannah Kitchen Tour Part II
A Recap of My Lighting, Fabric, and Tile Selections
Last week I shared Part I of my kitchen reveal for you! It showcased the paint colors, appliances and cabinet hardware. Today, I’m revealing a few other details such as my kitchen nook table, countertops, lighting, fabric and plumbing fixtures.
Kitchen Nook.
Throughout this process, I realized that I needed an area for seating since the kitchen wasn’t large enough for a center island. We worked with our contractor to build a custom bench under the window and it made a big difference! It feels much cozier now especially since we added a European-inspired bistro table. I came across Cafe Tables, based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. They make it possible to pick your specific table base and match it with a table top. They also have a variety of table heights and widths. I opted for their 22″ vintage Gatsby base with a 24″ white marble table top. It fits perfectly in the space. The owner, Ed, was a delight to work with and I received everything in a timely manner, including the samples.
Tile and Countertop Selections.
The kitchen felt unfinished because it didn’t have a backsplash. I found beautiful handmade tiles inspired by the town of San Miguel, Mexico. I wanted something with an old-world feel rather than just a stark white tile or a traditional marble subway tile. The company has since discontinued the tile pattern so I can’t link to it for you but I’d definitely recommend Garden State and Tile if you’re looking for something unique.
I swapped out the granite countertop for an off-white quartz. I actually brought my backsplash tile samples to the AGM Imports warehouse to pick out the exact slab of London Grey Sky Quartz. I also installed a new Rohl undermount sink, Rohl kitchen faucet in polished nickel and a matching Rohl soap dispenser. The sink is made from Fireclay, which is more durable and scratch resistant than a porcelain sink. I’d highly recommend this exact sink!
Lighting Selections.
The Lorford Smoke Belford Lantern brings all of the different finishes in the space together. The mercury glass complements the polished nickel found in the cabinet hardware while the aged iron highlights the bronze Elkins Sconces above my sink. I ordered the large lantern and it’s the perfect size for the room. The sconces also add just the right amount of light to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. I love how the kitchen looks at dusk with all of the lights on (which by the way we have everything connected to dimmers).
Fabric Choices.
For the kitchen nook, I wanted to incorporate a fabric for the seat cushion with a pattern but was practical and stain resistant. I seriously love Anna French’s Amalfi woven fabric and it goes well next to my light green cabinets and exposed brick wall. The soft pattern compliments my tile backsplash and my runner. I love this pattern so much that I also used it in my dining room.
Lastly, the roman shades are from the Hunter Douglas Woven Collection. They’re Charleston Grass, Spanish Moss.

Love how everything turned out! Where is your screen door from off the kitchen?
Thank you. I’m not sure. It came with the house, sorry!
