It’s that time of the year to start hosting family and friends for the holidays! We just welcomed our family to Savannah for Thanksgiving and luckily we had our guest bedroom and bathroom ready thanks to Serena & Lily! And, today save 25% off everything with the code Thankful.
I’m sharing my top three tips to create an experience that your guests will love this holiday season!
One. My secret to making a room feel luxurious and look like it’s been designed by a professional is to add layers with Serena & Lily’s luxurious bedding.
- The Beach Club Border Duvet is folded at the bottom of the bed. In addition to the crisp, white Westwood Quilt, the added duvet allows for guest to easily bundle up if the temperatures drop at night.
- For a Queen size bed, I usually have about 2-3 Euros to add a full and fluffy look! I matched the duvet to the euros, using the Beach Club Border Euros in pink sand.
- And the best thing about adding layers is that you can build off of your existing bedding. You don’t have to buy everything at once. I absolutely love my custom embroidered king sham with oversized scallop detail from Courtland and Co. so I added other bedding accents that would compliment this pillow.
Two. Details matter, especially in the guest bathroom. I always have fluffy bath towels, hand towels and bath mats on hand in the bathroom. It reminds the guest that you have happily thought of every detail for their stay. I tend to place the towels out in the open or on the bed so that the guests don’t have to go looking for things. Make it simple!
- I like to have a white bath mat because it’s easy to clean and makes the space look new! The Guerneville Bath Mat is a great choice that adds a luxurious look and feel for your guests.
- The striking design of the Ojai mirror is a great statement for any guest bathroom or powder room. It’s fresh design adds just the right details to help make your bathroom look designer-made.
Three. Add color! White foundation pieces definitely make a room feel clean and luxurious but remember to infuse your color and personality.
- You can always add color with an accent pillow like this Cayucos tassel pillow. It compliments the pink sand border found in the duvet and euro pillow cases.
- It’s also fun to add color with the sheets! This way when your guests pull back the quilt, they see a pop of color or pattern! It’s a nice surprise. I opted for the Oxford Stripe Sheet set in pink and I love the subtle look of the stripes.
I’d love to know your guest ready tips! And don’t forget to take advantage of Serena & Lily’s cyber Monday deals.
