Spotlight on Two Women Business Owners In The Golden Isles

We are fortunate in the Golden Isles to have an abundance of talented and creative women making their mark on the business scene. Today, I want to feature two of those women. They have both taken their business idea, grown it exponentially and now each have their own retail locations in downtown Brunswick. I encourage you to stop by each of their stores and learn about their stories.

Dot and Army was founded by owner Jennifer Zamudio. The idea behind it came as she realized she and her family were using so many paper towels on a daily basis. She wanted to create a more sustainable option. She has been sewing since childhood and decided to start making cloth napkins and “unpaper” towels. Since opening her business, her napkins have been featured in Food 52, Southern Living Magazine and House Beautiful. Jennifer also sells her napkins at the Sea Island Farmer’s Market on Saturdays. Be sure to ask Jennifer about the name behind Dot and Army (her beloved grandparents). She credits them with setting the bar high for her on kindness, generosity and service. Whitney Herndon is the artist behind Grace Graffiti. They specialize in American handmade wooden art, priding themselves on making quality wooden products from scratch. They can make personalized signs, wooden letters, items to brand your business, decor for a special event and so much more.
