Kitchen Tour
Get all of the Details on my Kitchen
Since we moved into our new home (almost two years ago!), I’ve only been sharing bits of pieces of our kitchen on Instagram. It was such a fun project to design a kitchen from scratch — because we literally gutted our entire home. To create my dream kitchen, I worked with designer Leah Bailey in Savannah and Coastal Georgia Cabinets in Brunswick. So today I’m giving you a tour of my very white kitchen and sharing our sources for lighting, hardware, paint colors, furniture, decor and more.
Lighting.
The Darlana Pendant in white provides lighting above the kitchen island. I love that it doesn’t have any glass because it makes it really easy to clean! The polished nickel library sconces are great because it has just the amount of light needed for early mornings and late nights. They also fill a blank space above the windows.
Bar Stools.
I purchased the bar stools from Ballard Designs. I choose the light gray color to match the kitchen Island. The fabric is something that I found at Overall Upholstery and I loved the navy and white combo. Since my kitchen is mainly white, it was fun to bring in color with the bar stools.
Greenery + Planters.
To add life to the space, The Vine Garden Market planted easy to care for house plants in this blue and white planter. My kitchen island is big so it’s the perfect size to fill the counter space. I also grouped boxwood topiaries from HDA Accents on either side of the range.
Hardware.
I turned to Rejuvenation for all of my hardware needs, such as pulls, knobs and door latches. I stayed in the polished nickel family to match the sconces. I really loved the classic look of the Sommerville style but they have a variety of styles to choose from.
Plumbing Fixtures.
My pot filler and kitchen faucet are from Simmer and Soak located in St. Simons Island, GA. Again, we stayed with a polished nickel finish and I also ordered a dish soap dispenser, push button for the garbage disposal and a sprayer.
Paint Colors.
I wanted a really bright kitchen so I choose neutral colors. The cabinets are Benjamin Moore Simply White and the custom hood and kitchen island are Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. It adds just enough contrast!
Countertops.
In our last house, I had marble countertops and to be honest the water spots drove me crazy! So, I wanted something more durable. I opted for Quartz and I’m so happy with my decision. There are so many different types and veining patterns. I’d recommend going to a stone distributor and picking out your exact slabs.
I think that covers it! Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments section!

Beautiful kitchen! Do you know what color your trim and wall color is?
Hi Jen! The wall color is Benjamin Moore Simply White and the trim is the same but in a satin finish.
I love all of your designs! How to email to friends and family!
Thank you! Encourage them to sign up to my newsletter 😉
Hi Monica. Love your white kitchen! Can you tell me about your tile backsplash? It seems to have just the right amount of gray in it. And I love the size of the tiles too! Thank you.
I believe it is Hawthorne White Marble, 12 x 24. We used the same in our kitchen.
Very smart o choose polished chrome fixtures, they never go out of style. A classic!
Yes, I agree! I love them!

Hi Monica! I’m in the process of redoing my kitchen and found this post to be so helpful! Do you mind sharing the quartz distributor for the countertop and what style it is? It is exactly what I’m looking for!
Hi Nikki! It’s called Teltos Statuarietto. I got it from a tile distributor right outside of Savannah GA.
And the tile distributor is called AGM Imports. Hope that helps!
I’m looking at the 2018 Holiday Home edition of The Cottage Journal. Your home is lovely! Can you tell me your paint colors in the dining room, wall and trim?
Thanks!
Sure! It’s Benjamin Moore Simply White. The wall is eggshell and the trim is satin. The ceiling is the same color but in flat. Thanks for stopping by!
I saw your kitchen in Southern Living December 2020 and it looks like a different kitchen. In the magazine it looks like your kitchen cabinets are green. Did you paint them? And if so what is the green paint color you are using?
Thanks,
Tamara
