The Palmetto Cafe
Airy Restaurant in Charleston
Typically in a food town like Charleston, one would not advise to eat at a hotel but the Belmond Charleston Place restaurants are, without a doubt, a huge exception. Both the Palmetto Cafe and the Charleston Grill perfectly merry a cosmopolitan flare with the subtle charms of what the Charleston dining scene has become famous for.
The Palmetto Cafe has become a local hot spot for breakfast and lunch due to its convenient location (dead center of town) and terrific food and beverage program. A beautiful and bright setting in a newly renovated dining room, enjoy fresh and clever food that could hardly be described as typical ‘hotel’ fare. The garden style setting is very inviting (as you can see from the pictures below) and you won’t leave disappointed. Definitely try the Salmon Carpaccio and the Caesar Salad.
