Don’t Lose Your Head
Tips for Starting a Business
It can be tough when you turn what you love doing into a business. It’s definitely a game changer. Lavin Label turned 6 months in September so I’m still trying to get the hang of things. A month or so ago I was planning two photo shoots for Savannah Magazine, one for Elegant Island Living Magazine, Pottery Barn and right in the middle Kelli Boyd and I traveling to NYC for New York Fashion Week. I worked a lot of late nights and sometimes wondered if I could get through it. But then I realized that this is what I’ve been hoping for since I started Lavin Label and that I was letting all of the ‘work’ get the best of me. It was then that I told myself that I need to live in the moment and appreciate the opportunities rather than stress over if I’m going to be able to pull it off. So this photo shoot is to inspire you to don’t forget why you do what you do and remember to bring back the fun. Don’t take things too seriously. And, yes, that is a real pumpkin.

Thanks so much, Amyleigh!!
These pictures are so fun! I would love to have been a fly on the wall when both of you came up with this idea – and decided to actually do it!
Love it! And what you have accomplished in just 6 months is amazing! Go girl!
