Casey and I love to cook together—especially when it comes to dessert—so one night after dinner we experimented with different recipes that brought out the flavors of the ginnybakes cookies! If you’re like me, then you don’t like making recipes that are complicated and take a long time to prep, so we created these healthy recipes with those of you in mind! Bon Appetit!
The Ultimate Frozen Yogurt Sandwich
ginnybakes cookies are an amazing choice for any dessert because they’re so flavorful! All you have to do for this dessert is pick a yogurt flavor that pairs well with your favorite cookie. You can even make your own frozen yogurt flavor!
Ingredients
- Frozen Yogurt such as Chobani and Voskos or Dairy-free Yogurt such as Amande
- Variety of ginnybakes Cookies
Instructions
- Using an ice cream scooper, scoop out a full scoop of frozen yogurt. Put the yogurt on top of one cookie.
- Place another cookie on top of the yogurt and gently press down till the yogurt reaches the edges of the cookie.
- Loosely wrap the sandwich in parchment paper and store in the freezer until ready to eat.
Banana and Chocolate Bliss Crumble Crepes
Believe it or not, crepes are actually super easy to make, and they’re a huge hit in the Lavin household! For Valentine’s Day, I recommend crepes with a sliced banana + chocolate crumble filling with honey drizzled on top. Yum!
Ingredients
- Gluten-free Wholesome Flour
- Bananas
- ginnybakes Chocolate Bliss Crumble
- Raw Honey
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Homemade Applesauce (I like this recipe)
- Milk or Almond Milk
- Eggs
- Coconut oil
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour and 2 eggs.
- Blend until the batter thins out.
- Heat a small frying pan over medium high heat. Add a 1 tsp of oil to the pan, then pour about 1/2 cup of batter on the pan. Gently tilt the pan in circular motion so that the batter evenly coasts the surface of the. (This takes practice!)
- Cook the crepe for about 1 minute until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, then flip and allow the other side to cook until light brown. Set the crepe aside on a plate.
- Place 1 tbsp of applesauce in the same frying pan.
- Add the sliced bananas and stir for about 2-3 minutes.
- Finish with freshly grated Cinnamon
- Remove the bananas from the heat and place it on the center of your crepe.
- Top with ginnybakes Chocolate Bliss Crumble.
- Drizzle with honey.
Baked Cinnamon Apple Crumbles
I absolutely love this dessert because it has a beautiful presentation!
Ingredients
- ginnybakes Peace, Love and Apple Crumble
- Apples (diced and whole)
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Homemade Applesauce (I like this recipe)
Instructions
- Slice off the top portion of the apple.
- Using an ice cream scooper, scoop out the center of the apple + remove it, because this is where the filling is going to be placed.
- In a small frying pan, add 1 tbsp of applesauce.
- Add the diced apples and blend.
- Sprinkle with freshly grated cinnamon and stir.
- Remove the mixture from the heat.
- Fill the apples with the diced apple mixture.
- Garnish with ginnybakes apple crumble.
- Bake in the oven for 5 minutes at 350 degrees. Make sure they’ve cooled down before you eat them!
