If you live (or have ever lived) in the south then you know that the July and August heat and humidity can make anyone question their love for the south. The key to beating the heat is wearing lightweight dresses. When I was looking for dresses that fit the bill, I came across these beautiful scarf dresses by Roberta Roller Rabbit. They are perfect for beach days, especially with the tie dye pattern and angle hem. The fabric has been hand dyed by artisans in India so no two dresses are the same. It’s the perfect dress to slip on while enjoying the ocean breeze. I featured Roberta Roller Rabbit on Lavin Label recently. I love this company and the boho designs that you can find on their dresses, beach tunics and tops! I paired this dress with their Osaka Circle earrings, which are made from both handmade glass beads and mixed metal. If you ever get the chance, you have to check out their beautiful store on king street in downtown Charleston.
Before we headed to the beach, we stopped by the Market at Sea Island for some delicious cheese and refreshing white wine. We brought along our Stonewall Kitchen limited edition picnic tote gift with Seabags. The gorgeous bag is actually made out of sails from Maine sail boats! This is truly the ultimate picnic tote! It includes two stemless wine glasses, a teak wood spreader, a cutting board, a jar of Stonewall Kitchen’s tasty Mango Chutney, crackers, a 6′ x 6′ picnic blanket and a fully insulated, Stonewall Kitchen branded Corksicle water bottle. They really thought of everything, which let us sip on the wine, eat cheese and mango chutney, all while enjoying the scenic beach views.
