Year after year, the festive spirit takes residence at my neighbor's doorstep, where they masterfully craft and hang a captivating fruit arrangement called an Apple Fan. This time around, fueled by a determination to immerse myself in the artistry of holiday decor, I eagerly offered my assistance, keen to glean the secrets of their annual tradition. Together, we embarked on the creation of a breathtaking display that seamlessly blends nature's bounty: magnolia leaves, fresh apples, fragrant boxwood, resilient cedar, and the unexpected yet delightful addition of a pineapple. The result is nothing short of a showstopper—an arrangement that not only captures the attention of passersby but also serves as a testament to the enduring inspiration drawn from the historic holiday decorations of Colonial Williamsburg. In every carefully chosen element, there's a nod to tradition…
If the weather permits I always opt for dinners outdoors, especially now that we have a lush side yard in our new Charleston home. It's the perfect space for our two year old, Julia, to run and play after dinner and of course our dog, Gracie, loves to watch the squirrels hop from tree to tree too. So we went outdoors! Fellow lifestyle blogger and fast friend, Kristin Chambless and I styled a spring-inspired tablescape to hopefully provide inspiration for your Easter table setting! We donned our Pink City Prints matching dresses that perfectly complimented the tablescape! I opted for the Lilac Agapanthus Lydia Dress, while Kristin wore the Emilee dress in the same print. The showstoppers, I think, are the K Hanes Indian block tablecloth, floral salad plates by Juliska and these darling…
Today I'm sharing my inspiration board for a floral inspired powder room that I designed for a home in Savannah, Georgia. The showstoppers are the Farrow and Ball Uppark (BP 549) covered walls and the pink Watermark wall mount sink. The Watermark sink is the same color as Farrow and Ball Setting Plaster so I painted the ceiling the same color to bring out the colorful sink. I loved the shape of the gold mirror from One Kings Lane. The curvature of the mirror really highlights the climbing flowers in the wallpaper. Other gold accents include a luxury brass shower center drain from Infinity Drains and a glass globe chandelier from Circa Lighting. I've installed Infinity Drains luxe center drains in my last house and was incredibly impressed with the quality! I was drain…
This Post is in Partnership with Garden State Tile. Thank You for Supporting Brands that Support Lavin Label. This sweet bathroom that I designed for a home in Savannah might take the cake for my favorite bathroom yet. It was an easy space to design because of the high ceilings and loads of natural light flowing in from the two windows. The front window overlooks a tree-line promenade and the side window overlooks a garden -- so dreamy! When I renovate a bathroom, I always invest the tile and stone first because it makes the biggest impact. The color, pattern and shape of tile and stone can absolutely transform a space. Then I select textiles, lighting and paint to bring the space together. I almost exclusively work with Garden State Tile for my own…
You have probably noticed that this summer that I've taken a break from my blog and social channels. I've been working on a lot of things behind the scenes. So. Much. Going. On. Right. Now. You may know that I teach social media part-time at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and I also have been offering interior decorating services to a handful of clients. And even though there has been a lot to juggle, this year has definitely been the most rewarding, especially now that I'm also a mom to a 16 month old! How is that even possible?! I feel like she was born yesterday. And, I've been renovating and restoring a home in Ardsley Park. Earlier this summer we sold our home in the historic district of Savannah and purchased…
