A Thoughtfully Curated Travel Guide to St. Simon's Island, Georgia

St. Simons Island

Oak trees draped in Spanish Moss, soft sandy beaches and a relaxed, slow pace of living make St. Simon’s Island one of the most charming barrier Islands in Georgia. If the Island life doesn’t lure you, then perhaps the Instagram-worthy shops, restaurants and luxury hotels will. As a result, I've rounded up my can’t miss spots that will make the most of your next trip to this charming Island town. STAY Book a room at Sea Island Resorts for a five star experience! The world class properties located on Sea Island and St. Simon’s Islands boasts a beach club, dining, spa and three championship golf courses. I’d recommend a leisurely bike ride, a cocktail cruise on their brand new Yacht or horseback ride along the beach. And don’t just take my word for it,…

Community Garden Tour

Pull Inspiration from Palmetto Bluff's Community Garden

Palmetto Bluff

It's official. Casey has started his job at Montage Palmetto Bluff and we are living in this picturesque town for the summer. My mornings have been filled with golf cart rides, walks along the water with the pups and front porch sittin'. I don't think that I'm going to walk to see Summer 2018 come to a close! Would you? During one of my recent bike rides, I stumbled upon the Community Garden in Palmetto Bluff. It's absolutely charming and filled with red tomatoes, purple and pink wild flowers, citrus trees, lettuces and butterflies. The gas lanterns and wrought iron fence create a warm welcome if you're not already drawn to the space by the colorful flowers all along the perimeter. Since this garden made me smile, I thought that I'd give you a…

18 French Inspired Color Combinations

Color Inspiration From My Recent Trip to France

French Inspired Color Combinations

I left my recent trip to the South of France incredibly inspired. Travel really does work wonders on the soul. Of course, the streets filled with colorful villas, abundant climbing garden roses and Provencal rosé helps reset your soul, too. When I travel I'm particularly drawn to homes -- the style, color palette, front door, hardware and more. I actually started a hashtag #ArtoftheEntry to capture the charming homes I encounter when I travel. So every morning, I'd walk around the small village of L'Isle Sur-La-Sorgue and snap pictures of the cotton candy inspired homes. Every since we got back home, I've been begging Casey to buy a house in Savannah that we can paint pink and hang French blue shutters. He's not on board just yet... but I still have hope. I'm sharing 18 images…

Then and Now | Our Outdoor Patio

A Before and After Look of My Backyard Patio

So it's been a little over a year since I shared my patio reveal with you. It's pretty crazy how quickly a space can transform with a little love and time. I was looking through old pictures and I hardly could believe that it was the same patio! So today, I'm sharing the six elements that made a big impact on the transformation. It's all about adding charm with small details. Symmetry. The first thing that we did was add a window to make the brick wall look symmetrical. This also allowed for more light into the kitchen. Can you say win-win?! The process was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Dutch Door. I've always wanted a dutch door because it's such a great way to add the outdoors in.…

Summer Window Box Inspiration

A Light Purple and Pink Floral Color Palette

Window Box Inspiration

One of my favorite parts about my recent patio renovation might be my window boxes. I love to switch out the flowers each season to transform the space and I'm always surprised how flowers can truly impact my outdoor patio! I typically like to plant a bunch of greenery with pops of white but this time I thought that I'd add color! I mean, why not? It IS summer! When I was walking around Ace Garden Center with my mom and my niece last week, I was drawn to the light purple and pink flowers which just so happened to compliment my recent floral-inspired tablescape with World Market. My brother-in-law made these beautiful wooden planters for me last fall so it's probably time for a little paint refresh. But after my recent trip to…
