Mini Travel Guide to L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, France

South of France Travel Guide Part I

France Vacation

I've had so many questions about my recent trip to the South of France that I'm sharing a three-part series covering our travels. We had the best time! I'd definitely recommend visiting this part of France in May because we had blue skies and 70 degree temps the entire trip! It couldn't have been more perfect for sightseeing! We spent about 10 days in France and our first stop was L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. I came across this small provincial town on Pinterest and fell in love with the many canals that go through the village. As a result, I decided to make this place our home-base during the first part of our stay. It's only about 30-45 minutes drive to other towns that we wanted to explore, Lacoste, Gordes, Avignon, St. Remy de Provence and Bonnieux. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue…

Hop on over to World Market's blog to help beat the summer heat! I've partnered with World Market and Oyster Bay Wines on a light and refreshing shrimp ceviche recipe. I'm serving this local seafood dish under string lights on my back patio -- perfect for an evening of alfresco dining. The delicious recipe and floral-inspired tablescape are sure to impress your guests, while making it easy on you, the host! It's best to prepare the ceviche a day in advance to allow enough time for all of the flavors to marinate, which of course frees up time so that you can enjoy a glass of Oyster Bay…

Ace Garden Center St. Simons Island

With the start of summer right around the corner, it's the perfect time to give your home a refresh! As soon as it's warm enough to be outside you can typically find me at my local Ace Garden Center. I love to spend my early mornings and evenings outdoors, either planting flowers or trimming my ivy and plants. So today I'm sharing three things that you can do to welcome summer in your home! Plant Your Window Boxes or Planters. Every season I plant new flowers in my window boxes on my back patio. I love to change the color palettes to make the area pop! Art of the Entry: Southern Porch Envy

Three Essentials for a Porch Full of Southern Charm

Art of the Entry

What I Love: This home exudes southern charm! The large front porch and oak trees draped in Spanish moss create a relaxed and welcoming entrance. The classic gray and white color combination provides the perfect accent color against the lush landscape. Recreate the Look: Paint Color. The exterior color is Benjamin Moore Gray. The classic gray pairs perfectly with the white trim. Outdoor Ceiling Fans. The ceiling fans on the porch create a relaxed vibe. Think breezy afternoons sitting on the porch drinking a glass of sweet tea. I recommend Hunter Outdoor Ceiling fans to achieve a traditional yet functional look. Lanterns. A set of dark bronze or black lanterns flank both of the front doors on this home. We recommend gas or electric lanterns from Carolina Lanterns. Looking for more home inspiration? Explore…
