Blue and White Stripe Dress

A Fitted Dress Perfect for Spring-time Temps

Club Monaco Dress

This year my goal has been to wear more daytime dresses and ditch the jeans! So I've been on a mission to find more casual, flowy dresses that I can wear with a pair of flats during the day. Most dresses can transition into the evening by changing out the flats for a pair of wedges. When I was in Savannah last weekend, I stopped into my favorite store, Club Monaco. I seriously love their clothes (i.e. fit, quality + style) and right when I popped in they just got their new April arrivals, which included this blue and white stripe shirt dress! It's so new that you'll have to stop by the Savannah store to pick it up or wait until its available online. I love the classic stripe and the tie at…

Spring Hostess Gift Idea

Plant Flowering Bulbs in Silver Julep Cups for A Unique Hostess Gift

Bulb Hostess Gift

Today, I'm sharing an easy + fresh idea for a hostess gift. They're perfect for a variety of occasions such as an Easter brunch, dinner party, birthday celebration or Mother's Day! Lately I've been obsessed with planting bulbs around my backyard. I thought that it'd be a fun idea to plant bulbs in a smaller container to make a long-lasting gift. The idea is to layer flower bulbs that way you continue to have blooms for the next few weeks. I also planted a Zinnia on top for a punch of color. I used my silver julep cups because I loved the idea of the cup being reusable. Mint Julep, anyone? But of course you can use any vessel as long as it has enough depth for layering. Now that I have your attention,…

With these spring-time temperatures, I'm ready to enjoy dinners outside on our patio. I just renovated our patio last year so I'm definitely taking advantage of outdoor dining this spring! P.S. The outdoor dining table and chairs are back in stock! Today, I'm sharing one of my favorite fresh salad recipes that's perfect for alfresco dining! Avocado and Caprese Salad Recipe Ingredients: Avocado Fresh Mozzarella Arugula Olive Oil Salt Pepper Cherry Tomatoes Pesto (Optional: Mix with 2 tablespoons of olive oil) Directions: Rinse Arugula and pat dry. Art of the Entry: Charleston, South Carolina

My Top #ArtoftheEntry Favs in the Holy City

Charleston Art of Entry

This past weekend, I took a quick jaunt to Charleston, South Carolina with my sister and my mom. We spent the day in the Holy City walking the streets South of Broad. I'm always inspired by homes, especially the entries because it reveals so much about the history of the home and the homeowner's personalities which is why I've started the #ArtoftheEntry over a year ago. I've been using it since to document my favorite entries everywhere I travel. Here are five that caught my eye in Charleston. If you like what you see, check out all of my other posts on #ArtoftheEntry for more home inspiration. And if you're headed to Charleston, check out my mini travel guide. One. Everything about this is beautiful: the front doors, gas lantern, intricate wrought iron gate and…

I can hardly believe that we've been in our new home for over a year now! One of my favorite rooms to spend time in is my home office, especially during springtime. The floor to ceiling windows allow an abundance of natural light in and while sitting at my desk I can see all of our pink and white Camellias blooming in the yard. The design idea for my office was to create a neutral space since I frequently use it to photograph different projects. I painted both the shiplap and trim white and added furniture that complimented the white-wash color palette. I knew that I wanted to add pops of color in the space but I wasn't sure which direction to go. It wasn't until I learned about Collier Rose Ink, a talented…
