As you may know one of my favorite things to do is travel. Exploring new places and meeting new people really inspires me and I'm so grateful to be able to share my experiences with you. Recently, I had the opportunity to go on a road trip to Augusta, Georgia on behalf of the Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau. I've only been to Augusta one time for the Masters Tournament a few years ago. Being able to host the Masters Tournament is certainly a nice touch but there is so much more that The Garden City of the South has to offer! I've detailed my two-day trip for you below highlighting all of my favorite stops! Day One. When I arrived in Augusta, I headed straight to my hotel to check-in and get settled. I…

Art of the Entry: Cottage Charm

Recreate the Look of this Cottage Inspired Home

What We Love: I especially love the greenery on the facade because it really softens and adds texture to the painted brick. The lattice on the side of the entrance allows for a vine to grow. I could envision beautiful climbing English roses. Recreate The Look: Lanterns. The hanging lantern is great if you don't have enough space to flank the front door with wall mounted lights. Window Boxes. I just added window boxes to my windows to add a pop of color with plants. They're also fun to change out seasonally. Location: Newport, Rhode Island  Hands up if you’d like to move right in 🙋🏻‍♀️ Love this picturesque cottage. #artoftheentry 📷: @privatenewport A post shared by Monica Lavin (@lavinlabel) on Dec 29, 2017 at 8:40am PST

Cashmere Accessories For Your Home and Wardrobe

Luxe Additions with Garnet Hill

Garnet Hill Cashmere Throw

This Post is in Partnership with Garnet Hill. During the long winter months, one of my favorite things to do is stay inside, drink hot chocolate (or a rum infused hot toddy) and catch up on The Crown. I like that our fireplace seems to always stay lit providing ideal conditions to cozy up with the pups. Is there anything better? As a result, I invest in a few luxury pieces to keep me warm when temperatures are falling. So today I'm sharing a few ways that you can pamper yourself with cashmere during the winter season whether it's for your home or wardrobe. Wool and Cashmere Throw. I love how this sophisticated throw beautifully mixes wool with cashmere for cozy-up warmth, pampering softness, and everyday durability. I also love to drape this throw over…

This Post is in Partnership with JetBlue. As you may know my husband is one of eight children so when the holidays roll around we do a lot of entertaining, especially since we host Thanksgiving at our home every year. It's always a treat to spend time with family which usually involves long dinners and game nights. This year, Casey and I booked a trip after Thanksgiving to enjoy some R&R before the hustle and bustle of the next holiday! We partnered with JetBlue (seriously one of my favorite airlines) and hopped on a very short flight to Bermuda! It was the perfect winter weekend getaway. Most folks that I talked to didn't realize that Bermuda is located off the east coast -- about 600 miles east of North Carolina. It's the most a…
