And whether it’s for a large celebration or a casual dinner, food (and a great bottle of wine) always brings us together. For my last family gathering, rather than preparing our usual go-to meal, I wanted to try something new and unexpected. I asked my mother-in-law to join me in the kitchen to prepare a light and flavorful dish: veggie tempura. It's one of my favorite times of the year because I absolutely love to decorate my home for Christmas! This year is going to be extra special because I have a pretty exciting project coming up in December but I can't share all of the details just yet! It's been about a month since I attended The Southern C Wellness Retreat in Watercolor, Florida. After attending any conference, I tend to go through a couple of phases. First, I'm completely refreshed and can't wait to implement EVERYTHING I've learned. Then, a few weeks pass and real life begins to sink in, and my focus shifts from working on my business to just trying to keep up with the day-to-day operations. Last weekend I had the opportunity to travel to Charleston to speak on behalf of the American Marketing Association. Since I was headed to the Holy City I thought that I'd bring along a few friends for a weekend getaway! So today I'm sharing our three day itinerary filled with my favorite restaurants, shops and neighborhoods! Day One. When I arrived, I headed straight to the hotel to check in and drop off my luggage.
