I love wearing dresses because they are easy, stylish and a breeze to dress either up or down. They are also the best when traveling because they are lightweight and easy to pack. Whenever I am looking for a great dress, Club Monaco is always my go-to stop. And I LOVE that they have a store in Savannah now! Dresses are perfect for our southern temps which is why they're a wardrobe staple of mine and today I'm sharing one of my favorite (but seriously though) swing dresses! Recently when I popped in Club Monaco on Broughton Street I fell in love with the Sinthea dress. It has a beautiful pleated skirt paired with a structured bodice. I love the femininity & fit of the dress. The red French toile print gives it a classic look but the color…

This is our first spring in the new house. We have been in awe seeing all of the different plants and beautiful blooms flowering throughout the yard, some of which we didn't even know existed until now! We have a trellis in the back that is covered in confederate jasmine. The beautiful blooms and sweet smell of jasmine inspired me to give our front entrance a little seasonal refresh. We headed down to our local Ace Garden Center, of course with Riley in tow! Ever since our trip to the Turks and Caicos last year I have had a mild obsession with bougainvilleas. They are so stunning and colorful when blooming. I saw these great bougainvillea topiaries and just had to have them. Their bright purple flowers are the perfect compliment to our blue front door.…

With summer approaching, I'm sharing a kid-friendly and easy recipe! We just unveiled our flower stand with Handmade Charlotte earlier this week so a flower inspired treat was the perfect compliment! We've created two-ingredient yogurt pops using candy molds in the shape of flowers, butterflies and lady bugs -- almost too cute to eat. To recreate this recipe at home you just need non-fat, plain Greek yogurt (we used Chobani) and a few colorful packets of sugar-free Kool-Aid. We purchased our cute silicone candy molds on Amazon but really any will do depending upon your theme. In a small bowl mix the yogurt with a sprinkle of Kool-Aid. Add as little or as much as you like until you achieve the desired color. Add the mixture to the mold and place a lollipop stick on the back. Allow to…

Having just renovated our kitchen, I still have the planning process fresh in my mind. I've also lived in the house long enough to know what works and what doesn't. I thought it would be great to share some of the things that I've learned along the way to help with your future (or current) kitchen reno. I really love a clean kitchen -- meaning I don't want to have a toaster, blender, paper towel holder or other small items on the countertops. For me, less is more. So it was all about striking a balance between having items out of sight, yet easily accessible when needed. I worked with designer Leah Bailey in Savannah and Coastal Georgia Cabinets in Brunswick when creating the design for our kitchen. Here are some of the things I learned from our…
