Habitat for Humanity’s Home is the Key National Campaign

Provide Strength and Stability through Shelter for Families Across America

Habitat Flowers Home

Having just completed an extensive home renovation, I know how blessed we are to live in a home that makes me happy and safe. During the renovation, I wanted to find ways to help other people transform the process of owning a home from a dream to a reality. We partnered with our local Habitat for Humanity and donated the original cabinets, light fixtures, windows, doors, and anything else we could salvage from our home demo. When I learned that Habitat for Humanity was about to launch their first ever national campaign, I wanted to be a part of it. Habitat for Humanity has partnered with several vendors where you can shop this month, and a percentage of the proceeds from your purchase go towards Habitat's mission of providing homes for those in need. Their Home Is…

Last year, my sister got engaged!! Casey and I are so thrilled for her, especially since I only have one sibling! I can't wait to help with all of the wedding planning and celebrate her special day! Eeeek! To celebrate her engagement and kick off the planning, we spent a whole day wedding dress shopping. I wanted her experience to be both special and memorable, so we headed to one of my favorite wedding dress boutiques in Savannah, BleuBelle Bridal. The owner, Heather Burge, truly rolls out the red carpet for all of her brides! To enhance the occasion, she offers a Bridal Experience Package, where your day begins with a blowout at Parlor Blow Dry Bar in Savannah. Upon your arrival at BleuBelle, you pop a bottle of champagne and sip on some bubbly with…

How I Found The Perfect Paint Color For Our Home's Exterior

Exterior Before and After Benjamin Moore

As you know, we recently partnered with Benjamin Moore for the interior paints choices when we were renovating the house. We opted for bright and classic colors, choosing Simply White, Revere Pewter, and Hale Navy for our living and kitchen spaces. We are so happy with our choices, they really are just the right paint for our style home. Naturally, when it was time to select the paint colors for the exterior, we headed back to our local Benjamin Moore store. Our ranch style home was built in the 1960's. When we first purchased the house the front doors were a classic white with light green window shutters. We loved the classic style, however we wanted to go a tad more bold with the exterior of the home to give it a more youthful and modern look. We're fortunate that the brick is…

I can't think of a better way to welcome spring then with a trip to Napa Valley and chilled glass of rosé. Recently, I took a work trip to California and had the opportunity to spend a couple of relaxing and inspiring days in Napa. I often get asked for my travel recommendations, so after our road trip through wine country, we created our own Napa Valley Travel Guide. One of my favorite experiences in California was simply wandering through the vineyards. There is something so incredibly peaceful and beautiful about vineyards that I always love to experience. While we were there, we met the owner of Hogwash Rosé, an Atlanta native, Boo Beckstoffer. This was one of the highlights of my time in Napa because Hogwash is one of my favorite rosé wines. Their…

Since Easter is just a few days away, we are rounding up some of our favorite Easter brunch ideas from the Lavin Label archives (though these tips could really be used to host any Sunday brunch throughout the year)! I hope these ideas make your Easter celebration extra special! Serving Mini Cold Brew Coffees. In a recent story that we did for Pottery Barn, we partnered with our local coffee shop, Wake Up Coffee and created individual, ready to serve, cold-brew coffees. We bought small glass jars with lids and filled them with coffee. We used a white oil-based pen to label the jars, which adds a special touch. Next we filled a large pedestal bowl with ice and placed the jars in the bowl. This self-serve beverage makes it easy on the host, while also adding a little twist to serving traditional…
