We're giving our guest bathroom a refresh this fall! We're actually doing a good bit of work like adding a stackable washer and dryer, as well as adding a glass enclosed shower. When we first moved into the house we didn't do anything to this space except paint the walls and update the decor. Now that we've settled into the house it's time to show this room some love. It's also great timing because we don't have any house guests with COVID-19. So no one will be needing this bathroom in the near (or likely distant) future! What's Changing? My guest bathroom has a small footprint. One of our biggest needs was to add a second washer and dryer since I seem to be doing laundry all of the time, especially now with baby…
Our Nursery Reveal
A Sophisticated Nursery Designed to Age
Julia's nursery has quickly become my favorite room in our home. It was so much fun to design a soft and serene space where she'll have some of her earliest memories. These last few months with her have been so special and I'll cherish this time with her forever. COVID-19 and maternity leave has delayed the nursery reveal but at last Tamara Gibson was able to capture this sweet yet sophisticated space that will grace the pages of Julia's baby book. You may be surprised to learn that I didn't start working on the nursery until just a few months before her due date. Luckily, everything came together at the last minute which was great because she was a week early! For some reason, I kept starting over with the design. Nothing seemed to…

Getting Ready for Fall
Lately I feel like I've been ordering A LOT from Amazon. How about you? And since I've already started seeing the posts on social about Pumpkin Spice Lattes and fall sweaters, I've been eyeing Halloween decor. The first on my list, you ask? These cute bat decals that Chassity with Look Linger Love hangs on her front door (see image above). These little bats are PVC paper bats that have double sided tape on the back. They come in a set of 60 via Amazon. This pack of 6 faux crows would look spooky attached to my balcony above the front door via Amazon. I've been looking for a new book to read. This mystery by Liz Moore came recommended and has great reviews online via Amazon. My fruit will look much more enticing…
We've updated our main bathroom over a year ago and I'm still finding ways to make it our own. This light-filled room is a great space to start the mornings, especially with new soft rugs and a cozy robe. Here are my essentials that I use on daily basis and a few decor items that make the space a little brighter! Get Your Home Ready For Spring
Since posting a few pictures on Instagram of the exterior of my home, I've had a lot of questions about paint colors, patio furniture and outdoor planters. I thought it would it would be best to outline everything for you in a blog post. Exterior Paint Colors. The front door color is Farrow & Ball Parma Gray. It's a beautiful light blue that turns into more of a gray color when in direct sunlight. I love this cool shade of blue because it's not too overpowering for a home built in the 1850s. The exterior shutters are Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone. I actually thought about a grayish beige after someone recommended it on my Instagram feed. I'm obsessed with the color and how it looks next to the doors. It really lightens the…
