This story is in partnership with Pottery Barn. Opinions are 100% my own. What I love most about the holiday season is the amount of time that we carve out to be with family and friends. It's the time of year when you have your evenings booked for holiday parties and weekends reserved for shopping with friends. And if you have a sweet tooth like me then it's also a great excuse to bake cookies! So today I'm sharing a fun party idea that brings family and friends together -- a cookie exchange party! A cookie exchange party simplifies your holiday baking because your guests bring several batches of one kind of cookie to share! At the party, encourage your guests to sample, trade and then package the cookies to take home! Voila -- now you have an assortment of cookies just…

This story is in partnership with Garden & Gun. Opinions are 100% my own. This past weekend Kelli Boyd, with Kelli Boyd Photography, and I had the pleasure of attending the 4th annual Garden & Gun Jubilee in Charleston! I've already been to a few fabulous events hosted by Garden & Gun (such as the Southerner's Luncheon & Dinner and a Show as part of the Southern Grown Festival). I had been anticipating this weekend for a while since I knew it would be an exciting three-day event. Kelli and I teamed up with Explore Charleston during our stay in the Holy City to share my #GGJubilee experience through their Instagram stories! So, Kelli and I packed our bags (filled to the brim with essentials from J.McLaughlin and Lauren Milmine Jewelry) and headed up the coast! If you've never been to the G&G…

Tibi Cut Out Holiday Dress

Tibi's Wool Flannel Dress is Perfect for Day or Evening

Tibi Navy Holiday Dress

We're finally starting to experience cooler temps in southern Georgia, so it's the perfect time to get out your winter boots, sweaters and scarves! To celebrate PSL weather -- we've partnered with Tibi to bring you a fabulous wool cut out dress that's perfect for a mild Georgia winter. I love to wear blues -- so this navy dress was screaming my name. I actually wore it to shoot the cover of our Holiday Lookbook! (PS Be sure to check out our Holiday Lookbook for DIY gift and travel ideas!) I ended up pairing the Tibi dress with suede wedges, which dressed it up. However, you could also wear the long dress with a pair of knee boots. The shape of the dress makes it very flattering, especially with the waist tie detail. The lightweight material gives you the flexibility…

A few weeks ago, my husband and I headed to Palmetto Bluff for a weekend getaway. While we were there, we participated in the Bluffton Seafood and Arts Festival in Bluffton, SC. This is absolutely one of our favorite festivals (we've gone two years in a row) because you can experience over 100 artists, live music and delicious food. Each time we visit Bluffton, we discover something new and love this up-and-coming town even more. If you ask a local what is a must-do during your visit, they will most likely answer the Bluffton Oyster Company, located at the end of Wharf Street. The Bluffton Oyster Co. sits on reclaimed land right on the May River, built up by more than a hundred years of discarded shells from previous shucking operations. The family owned business remains the last…

Deck Your Front Door for the Holidays

Five Tips To Style Your Front Porch For the Holidays

Pottery barn Holiday

I love decorating for the holidays because it kicks off the most wonderful time of the year! I especially enjoy decorating my front door, which serves as a warm welcome for our guests during the holiday season. This year, I wanted to create a rustic and layered look for my front door using a variety of potted plants, vintage elements and lots of greenery! Luckily, this look is very easy to recreate if you follow the tips below! Hang a Perfectly Sized Wreath on the Door For this specific look, I was searching for a simple, yet eye-catching wreath. I love the wintry mix of pine branches, pinecones and tallow berries. This wreath was the perfect size - which is essential when selecting the right wreath for your front door. You want something that spans most of the width of the door…
