This Post is in Partnership with Visit Tybee and Visit Savannah. Opinions are 100% my Own. If you follow my adventures on Instagram, then you know that I often get the opportunity to travel to Savannah for work. I shoot stories in 'The Hostess City' at least once a month with my incredible photographer, Kelli Boyd. Each time I visit and learn more about the city, I become even more enthralled with the charm and gracious people that truly bring the city to life. Needless to say, when Whitney Long and Cheri Leavy, from the The Southern C, asked me to join them for a girls getaway to Savannah and Tybee Island, I jumped at the opportunity.  Luckily for us, my partner in crime, Kelli Boyd with Kelli Boyd Photography, captured our adventures while also playing hostess for those of…

Fall-Inspired Decor with Wayfair

Two Chic Ways to Decorate your Home with Pumpkins!

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year because of the cooler temps and of course, pumpkin-spiced everything. I love decorating my house with pumpkins since the decor lasts from Halloween to Thanksgiving. That's a win-win, right?! Throughout the year, I keep narrow baskets by our front door to hold our dog leashes, toys and even dried flowers, such as hydrangeas. It’s really a catch-all basket for home essentials. These beautiful baskets from Wayfair are the perfect height and width for an entryway and I love the texture of the rattan. I popped by my local garden market, The Vine, and picked up some cotton stems and birch wood that just screams fall. Then, I added these beautiful blue-ish/green pumpkins to complete the look.  It’s always fun to change up the accents…

Hurricane Heroes

The Power of Community

Hurricane Matthew

Wow! Last week was nothing short of crazy and hectic for everyone that lived in the path of Hurricane Matthew. It was my first time experiencing a major hurricane while living on the coast of Georgia, and we were forced to evacuate our precious Island. Most of us along the coast braced for a Category 3 or 4 hurricane. The only thing more impressive than the 60-70 mph gusts of wind and torrential rain, were the acts of kindness that infiltrated the entire community. I know that everyone has powerful stories of people going out of their way to help others during this tough time, and we'd love to hear them! To show your appreciation, post a picture on social media with the hashtag #hurricaneheroes. It's a wonderful way to focus on all of the good that came out…

Bedroom Refresh with Wayfair

Four Ways To Refresh Your Bedroom

I’m teaming up with Wayfair to present four fun and simple ways to refresh your guest bedroom this fall. When it comes to decorating a guest bedroom, it's important to keep your friends and family in mind. It's the small touches that create a welcoming environment throughout your home.  Tip One. Make The Bed Cozy I firmly believe that a comfortable bed sets the tone for a guest bedroom. Think classic and crisp, white bedding. White has long been a symbol of luxury, so your guests are likely to get a good nights sleep if you start off with a white duvet. From there, enhance their comfort with high thread count white sheets and fluffy pillows. I've always loved the soft and plush feeling of velvet, so I chose these green velvet pillows. This dark…
