This week marks 35 weeks! I can't believe that our little baby girl will be here in a little over a month. I've been planning the design for her nursery for some time but I have to confess that I kept changing the overall look. Every time that I would choose certain fabrics I would see a nursery reveal on Instagram or Pinterest that looked the same! So I went back to the drawing board twice and finally settled on a look that I love that's unique. When I first started the design, the walls were a blush pink. Many of the fabrics that I selected were mainly blue and green so I thought the pink on the walls would be a nice touch. Once I saw the sample fabric swatches next to the…
My Main Bedroom Reveal
Layering Patterns to Create A Serene Escape
It's finally time to reveal my main bedroom with you! It's actually been completed for awhile but I wanted to add a few finishing touches with artwork and bedding, which as you know takes time to find just the right pieces! The Before. When we first purchased our home, the master bedroom was a sight for sore eyes. It was filled with doors (lots of doors) and very little closet space. It was a dark space even though it had two beautiful tall windows on both side of the room. Savannah in the Spring
Savoring Spring with Christmas Tree Shops AndThat!
This Post is in Partnership with Christmas Tree Shops AndThat!Thank You for Supporting Brands that Support Lavin Label. I love Savannah in the spring. It's my absolute favorite time of year with the promise of Azaleas and Camellias about to bloom! But for me the best thing about spring is spending time in our courtyard and gardening with no humidity. So during my recent trip to Jacksonville, Florida I stopped by Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! to stock up on outdoor decor and gardening items. Their shelves were overflowing with beautiful pastel garden pots, faux topiary boxwoods, and an array of gardening tools just in time to give our courtyard a…

Behind the Scenes with Southern Living Magazine
FAQs About My Photo Shoot with SL Last Month
If you've been following my Instagram stories lately that you may have noticed that I was one busy elf in December. Christmas came early for me because my home will be featured in the December issue of Southern Living magazine next year, 2020! It was an absolute treat to see the team in action! It took about two days of shooting and styling to capture all of the images and I can't wait to see the story in the actual pages of the magazine that I've been reading since I was a little girl! So exciting! Since it took me roughly two weeks to get the house 'magazine' ready, I thought I would share a bit of the behind the scenes process! Luckily I had help from Kimberly Cheney with August Design for all…
