A simple, yet classic cocktail in the Lavin family is the French 75. This drink became popular during World War II, although it is named for an innovative piece of French artillery that was used during World War I. This drink was popularized by New York City's Stork Club, and you may even recognize it from the movie Casablanca. However, before the public came to love this drink, it was the drink of choice served at parties before American soldiers left for the second World War.
