This Post is in Partnership with The Breakers My husband and I enjoyed an incredible and memorable trip to The Breakers a few years ago, and I've been longing to return and document this luxury hotel for you. The driveway leading up to the stately hotel is perfectly lined with massive palm trees, which immediately puts you at ease in the midst of this tropical scenery. Upon arrival, my friend and I were graciously welcomed by Omar, the gentleman at valet. The guest rooms are so impressively appointed that I think I'm going to design my master bedroom based on the 'blue' room that we stayed in. I've never seen so many beautiful shades of blues as I did when I was walking around the pools. The crystal clear ocean views provide the perfect backdrop for this 1926…

DIY Terrarium Centerpiece

A Unique Centerpiece with World Market

DIY Terrarium Centerpiece

This post is in partnership with World Market. If you're looking for a fresh take on the classic terrarium, then I have the perfect look for you! World Market has a beautiful assortment of terrariums that vary in style and size. I chose this gorgeous terrarium that's both tall and has a wide cement base, which allows it to accommodate both moss and flowers. As a bonus, the glass dome on this terrarium is removable, so you can easily style the arrangement on the base and then put the dome on top. To build your terrarium, start by selecting fresh flowers that compliment the decor in your room. Then create the moss layer in the bottom of the terrarium. Feel free to be creative when it comes to the base layer of your terrarium--you can use…

This Post is in Partnership with Tuckernuck I repeatedly get asked where I shop, and my answer is that I love Tuckernuck, an online shop that's both preppy and classic. Their selections are so thoughtfully curated and popular, that most of their items sell out very quickly. So naturally when I was planning my trip to Palm Beach, I had to check out Tuckernuck's website for the perfect outfit for the preppy, coastal town. I couldn't pass up this adorable seersucker swing dress by Alicia Bell. It's perfect for summer, and also very versatile since you can wear it to church, garden parties, showers, or even to stroll around town. The dress itself is comfortable and flattering, since the sash makes it easy to tailor the dress to your waist. I wore this with these beautiful ivory earrings that provided…

DIY Ice Rings

I attended a baby shower for one of my dear friends a few years ago.  While strolling over to the bar table to grab a cocktail I saw a beautiful silver punch bowl with an intriguing ice ring floating in the center. Just awesome! The first time that I had seen this so I, of course, asked her for some guidance on making my own.  Simple, easy, fun and memorable.  Perfect for Lavin Label. I decided to take a "fresh" twist on the ice ring by using fresh herbs and fruit. It's super easy to make -- you just need a bundt pan, assortment of herbs and fruit and water. You want to choose ingredients that compliment your punch and, don't be shy, pack them in there. The more you have the better the ice ring will look.…

Back in the Day Bakery

Back in the Day Bakery is a precious cafe in Savannah, Georgia. It's right down the street from The Florence, and is a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry. Everything is made from scratch and and they focus on seasonal, fresh food! For breakfast they have biscones, muffins, scones and other pastries. It's hard for me to choose a favorite afternoon treat between all the fun flavors of the cupcakes, brownies, puddings, cookies and pies! My favorite part of this bakery is that it's a small family business that strives to be a positive part of the community. The bakery has been recognized both locally and nationally for their incredible desserts and wonderful lunch. The owners, Cheryl and Griff, had dreamed of owning a bakery where everything was made from…
