After a quick glance at my blog, anyone can guess that I love neutrals and light pink -- or as Pantone calls it: Rose Gold. So the color pallete for my Valentines Day post was a no brainer. One afternoon, Kelli Boyd and I strolled around Savannah in search of the perfect pink house to photograph. This building instantly brought me back to some of my Euro trips. I could easily see this house in Lake Como, Italy or Annecy, France. The past few weeks have been a bit chilly in the South so I partnered with Finicky Filly in Charleston to help me pick a warm winter outfit. I wore a cashmere Brochu Walker sleeveless sweater ($312) over a Vince linen off white long sleeve top ($135). I paired that with classic white J. Brand jeans and a T. Marie Designs arrowhead and sandstone necklace ($168). Finicky Filly is my…

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, I was brainstorming fun and adventurous things for couples to do this weekend. I recalled the countless picturesque images of Wormsloe Plantation’s Oak avenue I’ve seen. After visiting, I am confident that it's the perfect atmosphere for Valentine's Day. If you're looking for something unique and romantic to do this Sunday, then check out my feature on Southern Living's The Daily South for details on Wormsloe Plantation. I teamed up with the James Gunn boutique in Savannah—which is only a 3 minute drive from the plantation! I was shopping for an outfit that was both practical for walking around the plantation grounds and appropriate for a dinner date. After enjoying an afternoon at the plantation, I recommend trading in flats for heels, and touching up your lipstick on the way to a Valentine’s Day dinner…

I have a new favorite restaurant in Savannah--The Florence--and I can't get enough of it! Whenever I have a shoot with Kelli in Savannah, I carve out time to enjoy lunch at Chef Hugh Acheson's newest restaurant. While they frequently use new ingredients brought to them by farmers, the simplicity of their menu is what makes them stand out. They feature appetizers, pasta, entrees, and are known for their pizza--which is prepared in a wood burning oven! My go to meal there is the "Long Live the Queen" pizza with their Green Salad. While their dishes, especially their tomato sauce, are considered to be authentic Italian food, the ingredients are southern grown and come from local farms whenever possible. Their food pairs well with the unique and fun wine selection. Not only should you go for the…
