Yesterday I recapped my recent trip to the Outer Banks. As I was gearing up for this trip, I knew I needed to pack accordingly. Since the Outer Banks consists of barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina, I figured we would spend a good bit of time in the sun. Luckily, Coolibar offers protective clothing so you never have to worry about getting too much sun exposure and can spend all of your time focusing on the gorgeous views!
I learned about Coolibar at the Southern C Summit this past April. Their clothes are UPF 50+, which blocks 98% of harmful UV radiation. I ordered their cowl neck pullover in white and I wear it ALL THE TIME. Since the material is so lightweight and super soft, it is my go-to pullover to throw on before heading to the coffee shop to work on my blog or to run errands. So I reached out to them to see if they wanted to collaborate for my OBX trip since they offer an array of tunics, dresses, cover-ups, and bathing suits.
I chose their oceanside tunic dress in navy and white stripes since the fabric is super soft and it was the perfect tunic to don as we enjoyed our outdoor activities. I actually didn’t plan for the dress to match the Bodie Island Lighthouse — but it made for some fun pictures! For a casual daytime look, I paired the dress with classic Jack Rogers shoes, these Crap sunglasses, and my fun Laura Milmine necklace.
If you’re heading to the beach or plan to spend your summer days in the sun, check out Coolibar to make sure you have the perfect outfit.
