DIY Pom Pom Balloons
A Festive + Easy DIY for Balloons
Today I’m sharing a fun + easy DIY way to decorate your balloons for your next party! I’m a huge fan of pom pom embellishments. They’re very trendy and I’ve seen them on everything from beach bags to clutches and even sandals. So why not add some to your balloons at your next party?! Just follow the easy tutorial below.
Materials:
- Yarn
- Pom Pom Maker
- 36″ or 24″ balloons
- Elmer’s Rubber Cement Glue
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Wrap the yarn around both sides of the arms of the pom pom maker (as shown below)
- Cut the yarn in the center of each arm
- Lift the arms
- Pull apart the two sides of the pom pom maker
- Trim the pom pom
- Glue the pom pom to the balloon
Tips: Be sure to use at least 24″ balloons. If you use a smaller size and try to add the pom poms, the balloon will likely fall to the floor due to the weight of the pom poms. Also, I recommend making the small pom poms so you can use more to cover the balloon. Lastly, be sure to evenly distribute the pom poms on each side to balance out the weight.
