The Inn at Palmetto Bluff
[From the Archives] A Beautiful Resort Located in Bluffton, SC
There is something very special about the South. Maybe it’s the overwhelming sense of peacefulness that I get when I visit certain places. The Inn at Palmetto Bluff is one of those escapes.
My husband, Casey, and I really try to our best to fit in weekend getaways. One place that is always at the top of our list is The Inn at Palmetto Bluff, a Montage Resort. It’s always a good time to visit this beautiful property situated in Bluffton, South Carolina. It’s a two hour drive from the Golden Isles, about 35 minutes away from Savannah, and less than two hours from Charleston. As soon as I take the right onto Old Palmetto Bluff Road that leads me straight to the Inn, a sense of calmness + relaxation kicks in. I’m serious. I bet those of you who have visited this magical place have experienced it too.
It’s sometimes difficult to capture the beauty + feeling of a setting through images but we tried our best to give you a taste of this southern escape. The employees are also incredibly hospitable. Guests form a relationship with the employees because of their genuine personalities and desire to make them feel at home.
After you check in, you’ll be escorted to your cottage on a golf cart. On your way, you’ll pass the lawn overlooking the May River where they serve s’mores nightly. The property has about 50 cottages and each cottage has a beautiful back porch which is the perfect backdrop for reading a book or sipping some lemonade on a cool afternoon. I would be amiss if I didn’t mention that each cottage also has a steam shower with eucalyptus spray. You feel like you’re in a spa every time you hop in the shower.
The Inn at Palmetto Bluff, a Montage Resort thinks of everything. There is no hassle with renting a bike because you have them waiting for you at your cottage. In addition to exploring 20,000+ acres by bike, you can also opt for boating, kayaking, horse back riding, fishing, golfing, relaxing at the spa, and so much more.

I love Palmetto Bluff! I went years ago with my family just for the day and have been dying to go back with my husband!
We try to at least get there once a year. We also plan to attend the Music To Your Mouth events — http://www.musictoyourmouth.com!
This is absolutely gorgeous! I love how they have the cottages to make it feel like home!
