Ah, the temperatures have finally dropped in Savannah and it’s starting to feel like fall. I love living in the historic district during this time of year. Julia and I (along with the pups) go on numerous walks through the squares and we eat dinner outside as much as we can.
Since we live near the largest park in Savannah, we tend to have a lot of locals and tourists-alike walk past our house. As a result, I thought that I’d give my front porch and courtyard a refresh for the fall.
Due to the summer heat and humidity in Savannah, I can’t really keep plants alive on my porch and stairs because it gets full sun. I make up for it by displaying pumpkins and adding lanterns. So this year, I decided to style my ivy-covered stairs in candle-lit lanterns by Serena & Lily. Their Summerland Lanterns in Harbor Grey bring out my pale blue doors and beige shutters. The candle-lit lanterns are beautiful at dusk as they line the stairs and set the tone for the evening. I also styled them around my Riveria Bistro Chairs in the courtyard.
I needed something substantial to flank my garden level door so I opted for their Pacifica Planters in Harbor Grey. I planted two olive topiary trees with some trailing flowers to soften the space.
I love how a little love can go along way, and Serena & Lily has so many new arrivals focused on creating a relaxing outdoor environment. Perfect for fall.
