I'm sharing my final post about my trip to New York Fashion Week! Kelli Boyd and I spent our last day walking through Central Park + enjoying brunch (and endless mimosas) at Sarabeth's. Oh, and did I mention that we actually slept in, too?! It's true if you consider sleeping in to be 8:00 AM. Kelli and I opted to stay at the Ritz Carlton at Central Park because of their location. The hotel is right across the street from Central Park and a few blocks from 5th Avenue. The staff at the Ritz Carlton were very friendly and we actually utilized their house car too which saved us a few Uber rides. The weather in NYC that weekend was mid 70s and sunshine. As you know, New York City played host to the New York Fashion Week a few weeks ago. It might be confusing but the shows that occur in September are actually revealing Spring 2016 collections. Liz Macpherson and Ami Murphy are the fabulous owners of mac & murphy, a pretty awesome paper company based in Charleston, SC. Their shop, located at 74.5 Cannon Street, is a blogger's dream. The charming shop is brilliantly appointed and evokes a certain nostalgia that perfectly intertwines the fun and cheerful personalities of both Liz and Ami (which is reflected perfectly in their clever products). Word of caution: expect to laugh, ooh and ahh and sense an off desire to send a card (for no reason of course) to a friend. Liz and Ami, along with their assistant Lacey, are so welcoming + boast that Charleston southern hospitality that the holy city has become famous for.
